The WR-Z16 is a reliable and precise time fan-out solution designed for White Rabbit, which underpins the new IEEE-1588-2019 High Accuracy Default profile, distributed over 1G Ethernet-based networks. This standalone device features 16 SFP connectors, offering sub-nanosecond accuracy time through plug-and-play optical fiber links. It delivers highly precise IEEE 1588-2008 (PTP) on all optical interfaces and supports NTP interoperability. Additionally, the WR-Z16 provides picosecond-level frequency distribution via a fully digital clock. To ensure continuous operation, the WR-Z16 includes failover mechanisms that combine multi-source redundancy and holdover capabilities, along with precise monitoring of timing sources.
